We all know the importance of hydration. High quality H2O is the life source of our body. It is important, especially when you are working out 3 to 5 days a week, to keep properly hydrated.
You have probably read a ton of articles on how much water to drink in a day. The important factor I want to stress here is when you drink it. Remember if you are thirsty it’s already too late; the dehydration process has started. You now have to catch up rather than keep up.
Many people think it’s important to drink water while you work out, but it is just as important, if not more important, to hydrate all throughout the day so when you get to the workout you are already hydrated and ready to rock out and sweat your butt off.
If you usually work out in the evening you should be well into your daily water goals by the time you start the workout.
If you are a crazy early morning person be sure to have at least 12 oz before bed and when you wake up. Then continue to hydrate throughout the day.
Hydration is an essential to high performance and high energy in your daily life and in the gym.
